About The Role 

The Power BI Report Writer is responsible for designing and developing interactive, visually appealing Power BI reports using SQL and DAX. The Report Writer will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the reports meet the business needs of the organization.

As a Power BI Report Writer, you will use your skills and experience to help our clients transform their data into relevant insights via interactive and simple-to-understand dashboards and reports.


In this role, you'll get to...

  • participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements

  • translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources

  • create reports using Power BI using SQL and DAX

  • design data visualizations to effectively communicate insights

  • create dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide insights

  • develop and maintain ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading

  • collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the reports meet their requirements

  • utilize Power BI security settings to ensure data integrity and privacy

  • troubleshoot data issues and refine existing report designs

  • utilize Power BI service to deploy and share reports

  • monitor the performance of reports to ensure accuracy and efficiency

  • develop and maintain documentation of Power BI reports

  • evaluate and improve existing BI systems and/or create new systems

  • perform other duties related to the role


On day one, we'll expect you to...

  • have bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • have 3+ years of experience with writing Power BI reports using SQL and DAX

  • have experience in data preparation and data warehousing projects

  • have sound logical and analytical reasoning skills for converting data into relevant reports

  • be proficient in doing advanced-level computations on the data set

  • have the ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team

  • have the ability to work and communicate with management and stakeholders at every level

  • have excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills

  • have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties

  • be willing to install next generation end point protection on the computer

  • be willing to work during US Pacific business hours (8am-5pm PST which corresponds to 12am-9am PH time)

  • be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there


  • This is a remote (work from home) position

  • This is a part-time, contract position
