The Staff Systems Administrator drives IT engineering solutions, framework, roadmap, program optimization and process engineering in a high-velocity culture. Analyzes competitive strategies, infrastructure technologies, metrics models, and performance indicators. Contributes to robust and innovative strategic solutions and builds resilient support for next-generation systems to tackle business challenges.
Responsibilities
In this role you'll get to...
experience with Okta Identity Management and AWS cloud.
collaborate with senior leaders on planning (e.g. resourcing, roadmap creation and execution).
maintain, enforce, and provide input on processes to ensure infrastructure is maintained to be fault-tolerant, scalable, and reusable.
provide support for escalated Service Desk requests.
perform under tight timeframes and execute efficient problem solving skills.
participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.
learn new technologies quickly and discover how to integrate them with various other system technologies.
mentor team members and educates users.
manage Okta SSO, AWS, and other SaaS applications.
install, test, tune, maintain, design, and document supporting systems, utility programs, monitoring tools, etc.
recommend and implement modifications to the environment; including troubleshooting and replacement of faulty system hardware and software.
present status reports and incident trends to the management team.
apply a solid grasp of processes and tools utilized for system management, problem reporting, change management, and support tools.
work with internal and external technical and non-technical customers to resolve design and implementation issues.
work both independently and in a team environment.
maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems.
maintain system documentation.
maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
participate in special projects as the need arises.
perform other duties as needed by the role.
Requirements
On day one we'll expect you to...
have Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or 8 years in a Systems Administrator role.
possess 3 years' experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Okta, and Google.
be experienced with troubleshooting, project execution, installation, migration, configuration and troubleshooting including but not limited to: Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, file sharing, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
have solid Grasp of network topology and troubleshooting services (DHCP/ DNS/ TCP/ IP).
have detailed understanding of technical data architectures
be technical proficiency including systems experience, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and good communication skills.
have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties
be willing to install next generation end point protection on the computer
be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there
be willing to work within US Mountain Standard Time business hours (8am-5pm MDT which corresponds to 10pm-7am PH time)
Nice to have:
Okta Certified Professional certification, AWS Solutions Architect certifications, or ITIL Foundations certification.
