Data Steward - PH
About The Role
The Data Steward will evaluate the client’s data and provide recommendations to improve their usage of data. You have expertise using data to provide analysis and reports. You’re comfortable with data terms like fields, calculations, business usage, source systems and how they should be used in reports and dashboards. You are able to quickly identify and determine if the data is incorrect and work with others to resolve the issue.
You will be working with the Pandoblox’ Data Practice Team to evaluate and implement data governance and data quality recommendations for the clients.
In this role, you'll get to..
Participate in kickoff meetings and discovery meetings with key stakeholders
Review data with clients and capture their pain points
Perform data analysis to identify issues and draft recommendations to improve the data
Review the recommendations with the client and provide an action plan
Conduct working sessions with subject matter experts and IT to resolve root cause for the data issues
Analyze and document fields and calculations in a business usage data glossary
Identify common anomalies and data entry issues and document them for actions
Provide input to data governance processes and participate in creating standards for data usage
Help the client clean up data in Excel and document the clean-up efforts
Use your expertise in domain such as Finance, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Customer Master Data, Item Master Data, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, etc
Operate as the primary point of contact with regards to the assigned data area
Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to build critical data assets and establish data usage definition and processes
Define fields, perform discovery, and profile the data
Trace and document data from source to end-user reporting
Perform other duties related to the role
On day one, we'll expect you to...
Have Bachelor's Degree relevant to the job
Have at least 3 years' experience working with data in a particular field
Have expertise in one or more domain such as Finance, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Customer Master Data, Item Master Data, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, etc.
Have continuous improvement mindset
Have excellent communication and presentation skills
Have proven ability to lead and influence others to drive positive change
Have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties
Be willing to install next-generation endpoint protection on the computer
Be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there
Be willing to work in US Pacific Time (8:00am-5:00pm PST) corresponding to 00:00am -9:00am PH time
