About The Role
The Data Governance Analyst is a business-focused role that supports developing policies, procedures, practices, decision rights, accountability, definitions, controls, and standards for data usage.
You will work closely with the Pandoblox Data Practice Team to help our clients build their data governance practice and complete key artifacts, including the business usage glossary and the change management process.
Responsibilities
In this role, you'll get to...
participate in kickoff meetings and discovery meetings with key stakeholders
host data governance round table meeting with clients while providing mentoring and coaching on data governance techniques
lead working sessions to educate the client and enable them to build and maintain the data governance structure
develop governance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
develop the RACI matrix for responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed
document current and future state workflows, data policies, compliance requirements, standards, and procedures
draft data lineage documentation and artifacts, including the business usage glossary
identify opportunities for the business to improve their data governance process
partner with the data architects and ETL developers to create and modify the data warehouse/data lake solutions
identify opportunities for ongoing improvement and provide use cases for development
partner with the data stewards and other key stakeholders to develop the data stewardship council to provide input to the governance board round table
perform other duties related to the role
Requirements
On day one, we'll expect you to ...
have a Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
have at least 3-5 years of experience working on data governance-related activities
possess the ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
be experienced in leading efforts to standardize data usage and create alignment between stakeholders
be familiar with key roles and responsibilities of data stewards and data quality teams
be able to work and communicate with management and stakeholders at every level
have the expertise with one or more data governance frameworks and best practices
be an expert with organizational change management and change adoption
have excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties
be willing to install next generation end point protection on the computer
be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there
be willing to work in US Pacific business hours (8am-5pm PST which corresponds to 12am-9am PH time, if not DST)
