About the Role:
The Microsoft Full Stack DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of applications based on system and user requirements. Using current programing language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Adheres to KBHIT processes/methodologies including request management, application development, and release management.
Design – 30%
Identifies appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements and user needs.
Participates in design meetings, formulates technical requirements, and documents design to include screen changes, data flow, and validation checks.
Estimates the effort (in hours) required to complete programming tasks.
Communicate design to fellow team members.
Programming & Testing – 60%
Writes code and completes programming according to technical design and adheres to KB’s systems standards, policies, and procedures.
Performs testing and debugging of applications, including the set-up of test data for unit testing.
Participates in code reviews.
Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs as needed.
Follows KB’s defect management process.
Assists QA team with understanding feature implementations, test case development, and troubleshooting.
Completes documentation and procedures for unit testing, technical specifications, system flow diagrams and installation/maintenance.
Provides weekly status reports and recommendations regarding requests/projects to IT senior management.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in design, development, and maintenance of computer applications
Azure and Data Factory experience is a MUST
Candidates should have proven design and development experience using Microsoft technologies:
Mandatory – Strong experience with integration development using SSIS, SQL/relational database programming (stored procedures, etc.), SSRS and Web Services (e.g., WSDL, RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON)
Mandatory – Experience developing and/or maintaining using Azure Data Factory services
Desired – Experience with Power Shell programming
Plus – Analytics/reporting development using SSAS
Plus – Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or AX Web Services including knowledge
A solid understanding of software development lifecycle processes
Experience with creating database objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions
Strong skills in Database administration, scaling, database security for Azure data
Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete projects quickly within the constraints of clients’ timelines and budgets
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and creative problem-solving skills
Strong communication and writing skills
Education – Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
